Effective 1 January 2026
Our policy is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work for our co-founders. We are committed to:
Reviewing this policy annually or when significant changes occur in our operations.
Overall Responsibility: The Co-Founders Emily and David Haddington hold joint responsibility for health and safety.
Day-to-Day Responsibility: Each Co-Founder is responsible for ensuring their individual home-working environment is safe and for reporting any health concerns.
Risk Assessments: We will conduct regular self-assessments of our home workstations to identify hazards like poor ergonomics or trailing cables.
Equipment: We will ensure all Display Screen Equipment (DSE) is fit for purpose and that we take regular breaks from screens to prevent eye strain and fatigue.
Mental Health: We maintain a supportive culture, utilising the principles from our Bronze award to manage stress and prevent burnout in a remote-first setting.
First Aid & Fire: As remote workers, we ensure our own homes have functioning smoke alarms and basic first aid provisions.
